Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Target Background

Function
Prolactin acts primarily on the mammary gland by promoting lactation.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Circulating prolactin levels may not be higher in patients with Behcet's disease than in controls (meta-analysis). PMID: 29412808
  2. Cin85-deficient mother mice had reduced pituitary hormone prolactin secretion as a result of excessive dopamine signaling in the brain. Their offspring matured normally and produced their own pups; however, nurturing behaviors such as pup retrieval and nursing were strongly inhibited. PMID: 29158391
  3. PRL levels were lower in psychogenic non-epileptic seizure patients with a history of sexual abuse compared to healthy controls and healthy controls with a history of sexual abuse. PMID: 28927333
