Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Basically, we can dispatch the products out in 3-7 working days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

Our cutting-edge Recombinant Human GPRC5D is a vital component in the field of signal transduction research. GPRC5D, short for G-protein coupled receptor family C group 5 member D, is an integral part of the G-protein coupled receptor family and plays a significant role in cellular signaling processes. This recombinant protein is derived from a mammalian cell expression system, ensuring its authenticity and functionality in human systems. It covers the full length of the GPRC5D protein, spanning amino acids 1 to 345. To facilitate easy detection and purification, it features a C-terminal 10xHis tag. Additionally, the endotoxin level is meticulously controlled, with a concentration of less than 1.0 EU/μg as determined by the LAL method, guaranteeing the utmost purity and reliability in your experiments.

The activity of this Recombinant Human GPRC5D can be assessed through its binding ability in a functional ELISA. When immobilized at 5 μg/mL, it exhibits a strong binding affinity for the Anti-GPRC5D recombinant antibody (CSB-RA882153MA01HU), with an EC50 range of 8.847-10.38 ng/mL. This indicates its biological functionality and enables precise measurements in your experimental assays. For your convenience, the Recombinant Human GPRC5D is provided in lyophilized powder form, ensuring stability and ease of storage. Embrace the potential of this remarkable protein in unraveling the intricate mechanisms of signal transduction and advancing your research endeavors.

Target Background

Gene References into Functions
  1. GPRC5D in MM cells makes this gene and its encoded surface protein as promising markers for monitoring the tumor load and hopefully also as targets for antimyeloma antibodies. PMID: 23510526
  2. Overexpression of G protein-coupled receptor 5D in the bone marrow is associated with poor prognosis in patients with multiple myeloma. PMID: 22591013
Subcellular Location
Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Protein Families
G-protein coupled receptor 3 family
Tissue Specificity
Widely expressed in the peripheral system. Expression pattern is high in pancreas, medium in kidney, small intestine, spleen and testis, low in lung, colon, leukocyte, prostate and thymus and not detectable in brain, heart, liver, placenta, skeletal muscl
